Any excuse to show off that midriff and we were on it. You probably went with all your friends to get that belly button ring, and you went through the poof phase at least once because for some reason we can no longer explain, we all believed it was very attractive to add a little poof to all our ponytails and half-up ‘dos.

21. Tiny shoulder bags were so in.
I’m guessing at some point in the 2000s, you owned a shoulder bag exactly like Lindsay Lohan’s arch nemesis Hilary Duff’s. Hard to see in the picture, but the Lizzie McGuire star is carrying around a Louie Vuitton with that typical 2000s print. I think all my favorite purses were this small. I even owned a denim one. Trendy, I know.
