When it comes to our personal health, it's not always easy to tell when something's gone wrong. Our bodies are complex systems, and we don't always know how to interpret the signs and signals our body is sending to tell us something is amiss.
If you've ever had a bump on your wrist, you likely believed it to be quite harmless. And in many cases, you'd be right. But if the swelling persists, and you're not sure why, it may be time to visit your physician to have it examined.

#1 - Tenosynotitis
Tenosynotitis occurs when the fluid-filled chords attached to your tendons become inflamed. This often happens as a result of direct injury to the area via physical activity.
Symptoms of tenosynotitis include pain, swelling, stiffness, and redness along the tendon. If the inflammation gets worse, see your doctor at once, as this could be the result of an underlying infection. Untreated, your body could go into septic shock, and yes, septic shock can be lethal.
