When Reddit user LearnedButt took to the online platform to share his story with the Internet, he didn’t anticipate the horrified and grossed out reactions he received.
Growing up, LearnedButt revealed that his family had a “poop knife.” Poop knife? It was an actual knife the family used to cut up their own poops.

Now of course, everyone's family has their own strange habits and rituals, and it's not right to judge. But a poop knife? We had so many questions. And so did the Internet.
But as it turned out, LearnedButt revealed the knife was used to chop up unwieldy bowel movements.
It began with a thread LearnedButt created in r/confession, titled “I was 22 years old when I learned that not every family has a poop knife.”
