To be blessed with a child is a great and wondrous gift. It's one that many parents cherish, and that others aspire to one day sharing together.
But some parents don't understand what they've been blessed with. They look upon their child and don't see a miracle, but instead, a means to an end. As evidenced by Shaunetta Wright, some parents use and abuse their children to achieve their own means. And it's behavior this like that truly disgusts us.

A full-fledged manhunt was launched by local police in Alabama who were searching for 24 year old Shaunetta Wright. Why? They'd received vital information about Shaunetta that informed them that not only was the young woman abusing illicit drugs, but that she'd also done something horrific to her toddler son in the process.
When children are caught in the crossfire of abusive, neglectful parents, it's always disheartening for authorities to have to get involved, but when the safety of a child is put on the line, we need to do everything in our power to keep them safe.
